Musculoskeletal therapy is a specific treatment focusing on soft tissue structures such as muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia. MST techniques are utilised to eliminate pain & dysfunction at muscles and joints caused by both acute and chronic injuries.

MUSCLE MANIPULATION THERAPY.
Musculoskeletal therapy (MST) is the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions specialising in sports and work related injuries. Also known as a Myotherapist, MST techniques treat a variety of conditions using soft tissue manipulation techniques, trigger point therapy, dry needling, deep tissue massage, hot and cold therapies, passive/active muscle stretching techniques, cupping therapy, electro-mechanical stimulation, supportive and rehabilitation tapping techniques and corrective or rehabilitation exercises.
MST can be claimed under 'myotherapy' or 'remedial therapy' treatment on private health funds with provider numbers coming.

Personal Details:
My name is Chrissy Lakey and i studied at Endeavour College of Natural Health from the years 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012. I completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy (BHSc MST). I have been working at Lindanow South Football & Netball Club for the past 4 years as the head trainer. I specialise in sport related injuries (specifically AFL injuries), as well as work related injuries. I am a member of IRMA (institute of registered myotherapist of Australia) and am awaiting confirmation from OAMPS insurance to recieve provider numbers. My passion is the human body and my goal is to make people live as pain free as i possible can.
My treatment time is 30 to 40 min, but expect the session to go for an hour due to assessment time.
